We had a great zoom last week on the 8U girls’ game. There was great attendance, so we know a lot of folks out there understand the importance of this starting point and either want to get it started or keep it rolling. As we discussed, associations with focus on 8U & 10U girls typically have stronger and more consistent teams at the older divisions. (12U – 19U).
We want to share the zoom call that was recorded and the slides. They are posted on the MGHL main page, but the links are below for easy reference.
Spring is the right time to get moving on 8U and this recording and accompanying slide deck will help lay the groundwork on how to get started and/or hopefully continue to grow that product.
As always, Mike Buell (MGHL 8U Director) and all the Directors and I are happy to talk and guide however possible.

On a Semi related note, the Directors are meeting this Thursday evening live to talk thru the home stretch and more importantly, what 2025/26 looks like and how we can continue to improve the league.
Given the ever-changing landscape of hockey, we will be updating our MGHL Rules to help create more consistency and less guess work for everyone in the league. More to come.
Thanks!
M. Wainwright
