Greetings,

Hope your season is going well and your players are loving hockey.  The Directors met last week to talk thru things by division and what’s on the horizon.  A few things for you to know.

We will for sure be moving the TIER 3 MGHL Championship weekend due to the MAHA State Tournament this year.   This is ONLY for Tier 3.  Targeting March 7-9.   We are waiting on a few quotes from rinks in Metro Detroit and will announce the location shortly.   All the Tier 2 Divisions will go as planned the weekend of March 14 – 16 in Brighton. 

We are also aware of the PWHL coming back to Detroit on March 16th.  7:30pm Game Time.    Fortunately, we have enough lead time this year to plan accordingly.   And we sure hope you do attend that game at LC Arena.  Such a great event for the Girls.     Our plan is to wrap up all final’s games on Sunday March 16th by 4pm.  With the Tier 3 teams’ playoffs the weekend before, it does help but we still may be looking to move some Semi Games to Friday and a few Finals to Saturday to make it all work.  We are working thru all this now.  

And here are a few other great girls only events coming up as well.

The Katie Robinson Memorial Showcase is in their 5th year, and we’ve heard many great things about it.  This is for Tier 2 and Tier 3 players.  Here is the link to learn more and register.

The Girls Only 3v3 is set once again for December 31st.   Cost remains the same and there are multiple divisions from 10U – 19U.    No finals games after 8pm so plenty of time to enjoy new year’s eve.
